How to Help

The Anacortes Dog Park needs your Help!

1.  Volunteer to Help!
The members of F.I.D.O. have contributed a lot of their time and effort to bring a dog park to Anacortes. As with any volunteer effort, lots of help is still needed in many areas.  We have several events & fundraisers, and will also need help as the park construction continues.  Please share your skills and abilities.  Send us an email with your contact information, and let us know how you can help -- tell us about any special skills or areas of interest you may have.  No experience necessary!

2. Make a Donation
The park is supported by the local community. Donations helped finance the establishment of the park and will go to make improvements to make the Anacortes Dog Park a source of pride and enjoyment for all. Donations may be tax-deductible. Make your check payable to The Anacortes Parks Foundation and be sure to note in the memo field on the check that the donation is for the Off-Leash Dog Park (this ensures your contribution will go to the Dog Park and not into a general fund).

Please mail your check to:

Anacortes Parks Foundation
P.O. Box 1902
Anacortes, WA 98221

3. Join our Email List
This one is easy. All you do is send us your email address (and phone number, if you like) and we will keep you up-to-date on the latest happenings with the dog park. Also, this helps F.I.D.O. establish a membership base which demonstrates the popularity of the off-leash park. Your personal information will not be shared and will only be used for emails relating to the Anacortes Dog Park.  Please send an email to:  Info@AnacortesDogPark.com.

4. Patronize the Park
This is the most important way in which you can help the Anacortes Dog Park: show up! The park wouldn't exist without its patrons. Come out with your favorite canine and enjoy watching the dogs run and play while you have a chance to meet other dog lovers. And while you're having fun, don't forget to do your part by keeping the park clean by picking up after your own dog (and any stray doggie-doo too). If you see empty water jugs by the water bowls, take them home and bring them back full next time you come. Thank you!
